Books I'm Super Excited For

Have I mentioned I love books? Oh I have. Well, have I also mentioned that I pine after books like they're the second coming of Jesus? No? I didn't think so.
Books are also the main reason I look forward to the new year. The influx of new books that will be published is the cherry on my holiday season (I think the same thing about the end of the year coincidentally). The beginning of the year usual brings around some old favorites and I can't help but feel reunited with an old friend.

Here are some of the books I'm looking forward to the most:

Black Magic Sanction by Kim Harrison (February 23rd 2010):

This is one of my favorite series and I'm always excited for another Rachel Morgan book. It's like my yearly treat from the universe (especially in combination with The Dresden Files).

Changes by Jim Butcher (April 6th 2010):

This book looks like it's gonna be a major game changer (Dresden has a kid? wtf?!) and I don't know if that makes me more excited or scared to read this.

The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss (May 1st 2010):

The Name of the Wind was so good I contemplated not reading this book till the third was out as well. But as much as it kills me to wait, denying myself the pleasure of reading Rothfuss is just too much to bear.

The Hunger Games Book Three by Suzanne Collins (August 24th 2010):

Obviously this isn't the title (or the cover) of the final Hunger Games book, but I had to include it. I just can't wait to get my hands on this book and knowing this is the third book in the trilogy makes me all that much more anxious to see what happens.

Besides these four, I'm also super excited for A Dance With Dragons by George RR Martin. I really might hold off reading the book till the series is finished in this case though. Five years between books is just too much to take and since I'm over the initial lust after knowing what happens next it might be better just to hold off. (Though it might be a sign from the universe since this books is coming out on my birthday so we'll see.)
