Spicy Sausage Dip

I found this recipe over at Annie's Eats and it's perfect for when you want an easy simple dip for company.

I tend to love almost everything that has spicy sausage in it and my favorite way to eat this dip was with French bread. I went a little crazy with the hot sauce so watch out for that since the heat sneaks up on you real quick. Next time I also plan on cutting the recipe in half since this dip is really filling and I had a lot left over (I'll still use the full can of tomatoes though).

Spicy Sausage Dip

1 (16 oz.) package spicy/zesty sausage
1 (15 oz.) can diced tomatoes with green chiles, undrained
2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese
Hot sauce, to taste

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the crumbled sausage until browned. Drain off any excess fat. Reduce the heat to medium and mix in the tomatoes, cream cheese, and hot sauce. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture is warmed through and the ingredients are well blended. Taste and adjust seasonings as necessary. Serve warm.
