Zombie Food

1. Bloody Brain Shooter

This drink looks pretty disgusting, but apparently it tastes pretty good. The Baily's curdles because of the acid in the lime juice and the grenadine just puts the whole thing over the top.

1 1/4 oz. strawberry vodka
1/8 oz. lime juice
3/4 oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream
Splash of grenadine

Firstly chill the vodka down as much as you can, add it with the lime juice into a shaker. Shake the shit out of it and strain into a shot glass. This is the tricky part get yourself a straw and submerge about 1-3 inches into the Baileys bottle (the more you submerge the more brains you will get). Cover the top end of the straw with your finger to trap the Baileys. With your finger still on the top end of the straw gently place Baileys end into the shotglass containing the vodka and slowly release your finger. The Baileys curdles up a bit and creates the brains in the shot glass. Continue to add more “brains” to the drink with some grenadine for blood. Image source

2. Zombie Blood and Zombie Jerky

I just love that someone though to make Zombie Blood and Zombie Jerky for sale. It's proof of the awesomeness of some people. The Zombie FAQ is also quite funny. With products like Nuclear Energy Powder and Blood Energy Potion, I look forward to seeing what else Harcos Laboratories comes up with.

3. Zombie Cupcakes: From the Grave to the Table with 16 Cupcake Corpses by Zilly Rosen

The cupcake craze is still going full blast, and the invasion of cupcake shops spreads across the planet. But if there’s one thing that sticks in the throat, it’s that those cupcakes are so damn cutesy. Zombie Cupcakes will rise up through the ranks of sugary-sweet cupcake books by featuring a ghoulish army of delicious little creations that are anything but sugar-coated. Recipes range from Zombie Flesh, to Zombie Brain, Gravestones, Maggots, Night of the Living Cupcake, 28 Cupcakes Later, and more! The recipes feature complete cooking and icing techniques, along with full-color photos and even illustrations of some of the more difficult techniques, making the book perfect for beginners and more accomplished pastry chefs alike. Each recipe also features a difficulty rating, prep time, and cooking time, and sidebars of zombie trivia will be sprinkled throughout the book.
Ok this book just looks adorable.

4. Free Range Whole Human

If all else fails, then just stock up on some free range humans.

5. Meat hand by Not Martha

Using a hand gelatin mold and some onions for finger nails, Not Martha's Meat Hand meatloaf is pretty disgustingly awesome.  You could use the same principle for any gelatin mold too. Meatloaf brains anyone?

6. Halloween Fingers

Made out of store bought pizza or bread dough, these fingers are a breeze to put together. The nice thing is they can be used for any party and I've also seen some made out of cookie too.

7. Deviled Eyeballs

You can find a bunch of different eyeball inspired dishes, but I chose this one since it's savory. Most of the themed food you come across is deserts and while while I love desert, variety they do not make.

8. Mad Scientist Specimen Jars

All it takes is a head of cauliflower and a bit of colored water and you can have a gross decoration on your hands.

9. Red Velvet Brains Cupcakes

There are a lot of brain inspired cupcakes out there, but these ones don't require any special molds. Plus who doesn't like red velvet cake?

  1. Oh, the meat hand. I've written about that stomach-churning creation several times on The Zed Word zombie blog. The sight of it sickens me every time.

The next time I get my drink on, however, I'll try out the Bloody Brain Shooter

  2. It's how I found your blog actually! And it is pretty gross.
